MILWAUKEE — With many coming to downtown Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention, parking will come at a premium.

Secure Parking USA is operating all of its parking lots and garages in Milwaukee during the convention.

Mackenzie Lemon is a sales representative for Secure Parking USA.

Lemon said it has several lots and garages within the RNC security zones and more outside of them.

“We do have quite a large presence,” said Lemon. “We are known for our customer support, so we have a lot of hands on the ground here.”

Lemon said having the RNC here will be a plus for the lots and garages it operates.

“We know hotel occupancies are high, so those garages and locations that we do have are near hotels,” said Lemon. “We are gearing up staff wise, higher when we know certain people are speaking. We will have a higher volume of staff, but we are gearing up to have a full-blown staff and are excited.”

Lemon said those interested in parking in one of its lots during the RNC, they can book online.

For those that don’t do that, parking will be on a first come, first serve basis.

She also said that when looking for lots within or near the security zones, you are encouraged to look online for possible restrictions.

“Parking is already a headache in itself so we just want to make sure we are alleviating some of that,” said Lemon. “You are coming not just to park, but you are coming here for the RNC or maybe you are coming down to be a part of the liveliness and going to an event. We want to make it easier for you.”

Lemon said the most important thing for Security Parking USA is to make parking less of a hassle for visitors and residents.
