Phillip Boudreaux is a multimedia journalist with Spectrum News 1 Wisconsin, focusing on the Milwaukee area. While he’s new to Milwaukee, he’s not new to Spectrum News – Phillip joins the Wisconsin network from the Spectrum News 1 station in Rochester, New York.
Prior to his time with Spectrum News 1, Phillip held a variety of roles, including weekend anchor, reporter, producer, and more, at local news stations across Louisiana.
Regardless of his role, what Phillip values most about journalism is the ability to step outside of his own bubble and learn about other people’s perspectives and viewpoints. He enjoys telling people’s stories because it enriches his own life and helps others discover new aspects of their local communities.
One of the most impactful stories Phillip has worked on was covering severe flooding in Louisiana in 2016. He visited with residents whose homes had been completely destroyed and helped share the stories of those who had to start all over.
Phillip has enjoyed getting to know Milwaukee, especially exploring the craft brewery scene and watching the Bucks play at the Fiserv Forum. When he’s not working, he enjoys walking, watching sports (especially football, basketball, and baseball), and studying Spanish.
