MILWAUKEE — Among thousands of visitors to Milwaukee for this weekend's Harley-Davidson Homecoming Celebration are some big stars in the world of motorcycle racing, and among them is the woman dubbed "the fastest female road racer" and the "fastest woman on two wheels": Patricia Fernandez-West.

"I was signing autographs today and I met people from Germany; I met a guy from China [and] a lady from Portugal," Fernandez-West said. "It is insane to me, the international community that has come here to support Harley-Davidson."

Fernandez-West, who's built up a fan base both on and off the track, in part, thanks to her nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram, said that in addition to booked meet-and-greets throughout this weekend's 120th Harley-Davidson anniversary festival, she was simply looking to take in more of what Milwaukee had to offer.

"I actually really like Milwaukee," Fernandez-West said. "I chose to walk more rather than ride with all the traffic and road closures. It's been quite nice to walk around and explore the city. I really like it; it's really pretty."
