Some big changes are underway in our weather as we start the new week. Be prepared for rain as you head out this morning. Some of the rain may be heavy at times early. As we go through the day, temperatures will fall from the 50s into the 30s. Rain will move out, but a few flurries will be possible across northern Ohio by evening.

Russian forces stepped up their shelling of Ukrainian cities in the center, north and south of the country late Sunday, presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovich said.

“The latest wave of missile strikes came as darkness fell,” he said on Ukrainian television.

On March 7, 1850, the Swedenborgian Church founded Urbana College. Swedenborgian John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed, convinced local landowner John James to donate land to establish the college. Urbana College was the second college in Ohio to admit women into classes with men. In 2014, Urbana University became part of Franklin University. Due to low enrollment, and financial problems compounded by the coronavirus pandemic, Urbana University permanently closed its doors after the spring 2020 semester.
