A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for the north central and western parts of the state until 9pm eastern time. Damaging wind gusts is the main threat with thunderstorms. The storms will taper off well before midnight with lows in the low to mid 70s.

Wednesday will be another hot day with highs topping out into the low to mid 90s with a chance for a pop up afternoon t'storm.

Finally, some relief will be on the way by Thursday with a better chance for more numerous showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the mid to upper 80s. More storms are possible on Friday with temperatures back into the low 80s.

The weekend looks mostly dry and pleasant with temperatures only reaching the low 80s. It will also be less humid as well.
