Meteorologist Alan Auglis is an AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. He joined the Spectrum weather team in August 2018.

Alan was born and raised in Maryland and received his bachelor's degree in meteorology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania.

Alan began his career as weather producer at WJLA ABC 7 in Washington, D.C. During that same time, he worked weekends, on air in Salisbury, MD at WMDT.

The following year, Alan moved to Hagerstown, Maryland and was a meteorologist at WHAG for three and a half years. After that, his next journey took him farther south to Roanoke, Virginia where he worked for three and a half years. While in Roanoke, Alan covered all types of weather from snowstorms to hurricanes and tornadoes. His expertise in winter and summer weather makes him a perfect fit for Kentucky's range of weather.

Alan enjoys cooking and trying new recipes. He also loves to landscape and garden and said he always wanted to be either a landscape architect or a meteorologist.
