“Volleyball in the state of Kentucky is unbelievable,” said UofL head coach Dani Busboom Kelly. “You have Louisville, Kentucky, Western Kentucky, and Morehead has had good wins this year. We played NKU, and they were very scrappy and played hard. It isn’t just us and Kentucky. These matches always feel like they will come down to a few key plays here and there and we have been lucky enough to win those big points in the last few matchups.”

The Wildcats had two players reach double-figures scoring as Brooklyn DeLeye had a team-high 17 kills, three digs and a block. Redshirt freshman Brooke Bultema had one of her best performances, as she netted 11 kills on 21 swings with four blocks.

The Cards come home to the KFC Yum! Center on Sunday, Sep. 22 at 12:30 p.m. when they host No. 5 Nebraska.

Kentucky closes out non-conference play against another Cardinal Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 p.m. The Cats travel to face No. 2 Stanford Cardinal in California. The match will air on ESPN2.
