LEXINGTON, Ky. — Fans of Kentucky volleyball will have the chance to watch them on television several times during the 2024 season.
UK announced it will appear on 10 national broadcasts, including three on ESPN and another match on ESPN2.
The Wildcats season begins Friday, Aug. 23 when they welcome Dayton to town. However, the broadcast season begins Friday, Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. with an hour preview show on the SEC Network. Peter Burns, Katie George and Missy Whittemore will take a closer look at the new Southeastern Conference and get fans ready for the season.
UK’s first televised match will be one of three non-conference matches on ESPN. Kentucky and the Nebraska Cornhuskers will play on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. on Aug. 27. The match is part of the AVCA First Serve Showcase.
Kentucky will appear on the SEC network when it hosts Penn State as part of the Kentucky Invitational on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m.
ESPN will showcase the Cats beginning on Sept. 18 with the annual Battle of the Bluegrass against Louisville in Lexington. The team then heads to Florida on Sept. 29 for a 1 p.m. match with the Gators. They round out their ESPN appearances with a game on Oct. 13 against new SEC member, Texas.
The SEC network will broadcast two more UK games. LSU comes to town on Nov. 10 and the final home match of the season is against Arkansas on Nov. 24 at 4 p.m.
