LOUISVILLE, Ky. — We now know what the starting gate will look like at Churchill Downs on Friday for the 147th running of the Longines Kentucky Oaks. The racetrack held the Post Position Draw on Monday morning, which determines where each filly will be positioned.

The Oaks Post Position Draw is a traditional "pill pull" where horses' entry blanks are pulled simultaneously with a numbered pill to determine which stall a horse will break from the starting gate. The Post Position Draw for the Kentucky Derby will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. The horses will make their run for the lilies Friday, April 30 at 5:51 p.m. Derby 147 is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, at 6:57 p.m.
