LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville (UofL) has announced that its starting running back, Maurice Burkley, will be out for the rest of the season due to an injury.

Head Coach Scott Satterfield shared the unfortunate news Saturday afternoon. Burkley suffered an "injury of a lower extremity" late in the Cardinals' 30-0 win over Syracuse at Cardinal Stadium.

Burkley took over as starting RB for the Cardinals' past two games. A redshirt senior, he'll end the season with 180 yards and one touchdown.
