MILWAUKEE — Stelio Kalkounos, 51, has been charged with sex trafficking of a minor and producing child pornography.
He was arrested Wednesday at a hotel in Hollywood, Fla., according to the Western District of Wisconsin U.S. Attorney's Office. Kalkounos is being held in Florida at Broward County Jail. However, Kalkounos will be transported to the U.S. District Court in Madison, Wis.
The indictment against Kalkounos was unsealed Thursday, following the arrest. He made a court appearance at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
According to the indictment, from July 16, 2023, to March 1, 2024, Kalkounos allegedly “recruited, enticed and obtained a minor, knowing she would be caused to engage in commercial sex acts.” On Nov. 20, 2023, he allegedly “used a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct.”
Kalkounos faces a minimum sentencing of 10 years and a maximum sentencing of life in prison if he is convicted of sex trafficking. If he is convicted of producing child pornography, he faces a minimum of 25 years in prison and a maximum of 50 years in prison.
Kalkounos has been a managing partner at Five O’Clock Steakhouse in Milwaukee for over 20 year years, according to his social media accounts.
