MILWAUKEE — One week after his arrest, Maxwell Anderson has been charged with killing and dismembering 19-year-old Sade Robinson, according to a criminal complaint.

In the criminal complaint, officials said that due to the “circumstances surrounding disappearance of Robinson” and “the recovery of the human leg that was preliminarily identified as Robinson’s,” they have “concluded” that she is dead.

Family and friends of Robinson formed a search party on Friday afternoon to find the rest of her remains.

About a dozen people searched Kern Park and the nearby Milwaukee River.

Robinson’s family is heartbroken over the loss of their loved one, but are thankful that the community is helping them find closure.

“MPD has done a lot and they need more people. We need the public to come out and help. We need a lot more feet on the ground because there is a lot of ground to cover,” said Keyana, Robinson’s cousin.

Keyana asked that Spectrum News not publish their last name due to privacy reasons.

On Friday, authorities confirmed the leg found at Warnimont Park in Cudahy, Wis., on April 2 was Robinson’s.

Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffery Norman said they have also found additional remains, but those have not yet been identified. However, they were found at locations where her Life360 app showed Robinson to be the evening she disappeared.

Norman said the case is still an active investigation.

“Please note we can continue to search for evidence that has not been located,” said Norman.

Milwaukee County Sheriff Danita Ball described Robinson’s death as a heinous crime.

“Someone has been dismembered in a fashion like that,” said Ball. “Our investigators, they want to find justice for the victim, so right now that’s what their focus is on.”

As the community continues to search, there is only one thing on Keyana’s mind.

“She’s sweet. She’s loving. She didn’t deserve this. We just want to bring her back home,” said Keyana.

The family said future searches will be posted on Facebook. Those who want to help can search “Sade Robinson” on Facebook for information.

For her family, it’s about making sure that Robinson gets a proper goodbye.
