WISCONSIN — More than 30,000 Wisconsinites are still without power following a winter storm that ripped through the Badger State Friday into Saturday, according to We Energies.
Power outages are affecting multiple areas of the state. We Energies said in a statement on its website Saturday that it had hundreds of employees and outside contract crews working to restore power.
Officials said that it's currently "on track to restore 98% of impacted customers by the end of Sunday."
It said those who continue to be without power through Sunday should have their power restored by Monday or have a crew assigned to the issue on Monday.
We Energies said the cold hasn't slowed its efforts and that it has assembled "an army of field crews" to restore power.
It encouraged those still without power to seek local warming shelters.
