WISCONSIN — As officials issued more blizzard warnings across parts of the state Friday night, those at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) continued to warn all Wisconsin drivers to think twice before heading out on the roads overnight into Saturday.

"If you think you're going to be driving today or considering it, I urge you to go to 511WI.gov and go to the traffic camera closest to your location and look at the weather out there," said Mark Kantola, WisDOT's northeast region communication manager. "If you're uncomfortable driving in those conditions, we urge you to reconsider your travel plans."

Friday's storm continued to ramp up, making the winter storm earlier this week seem like pale in comparison.

"This storm is nothing like Tuesday's," Kantola said. "This is a blizzard. There are whiteout conditions. It's treacherous travel, if not impossible."
