MILWAUKEE — Giannis Antetokounmpo, his fiancee Mariah Riddlesprigger and the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF) have teamed up with Milwaukee Diaper Mission for The BIG Give Back.
The BIG Give Back is a yearly two-week diaper and fundraising drive to help families in need.
According to a press release, the Milwaukee Diaper Mission has given out over 1.3 million diapers to Milwaukee area social service agencies since 2020.
Diaper need is a public health crisis, according to the National Diaper Bank Network. The organization reported that “one in two U.S. families cannot afford enough diapers to keep their infant or child clean, dry, and healthy.”
This year’s The BIG Give Back runs from Oct. 23 through Nov. 3. During this time, nine Milwaukee Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market locations will have donation bins for diapers and baby wipes.
There will also be a collection event on Oct. 29 from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Fiserv Forum when the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Atlanta Hawks. Those who make a monetary donation at this event will be entered to win four tickets to a Bucks game.
Officials with The BIG Give Back said they encourage people to donate diapers and funds to benefit those in need.
