BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio — The Butler County Emergency Management Agency has been surveying the damage from storms that rolled through overnight.

Butler County EMA Director Jim Bolen said via email that the team was conducting a damage assessment in Reily Township and helping with a “hazardous materials incident” in Monroe.

“Our team joined the Reily Township Fire Department to assess impacted structures, utility infrastructure, and other damages sustained during the severe weather and coordinating with utility companies to ensure power restoration to the affected area,” Bolen said. “Our assessment identified that there are currently no unmet needs in Butler County and that power has been restored to a large majority of those affected. “

Residential and agricultural buildings, he said, sustained “minor to moderate” damage from winds. He said their staff remains available to assist the needs of any of their partners.

Butler County recently went through a bout of severe weather on Sunday, having two confirmed tornadoes on the ground. Damage was reported across the county, including at a mobile home park and at a church
