AKRON, Ohio — Take a step back in time as dinosaurs come to life this summer at the Akron Zoo.
"DinoTrek" will run between May 10 and Sept. 14, featuring life-size animatronic dinosaurs.
The zoo said in a news release that 20 dinosaurs will be visible for visitors, with most of them moving and making noise. The dinosaurs will be comprised of 15 different species, including a 60-foot-long Apatosaurus, 43-foot-long Tyrannosaurus rex and a 33-foot-long Acrocanthosaurus. They will be spread out throughout the entire zoo.
There will be interactive and educational activities for children at the Dino Lab and Nursery as well.
At certain times, guests will be able to meet a T-Rex character and baby dinosaurs.
DinoTrek is included with general admission and free for Akron Zoo members.
