COLUMBUS, Ohio — Officials said I-270 and I-70 reopened Sunday after the routes were closed off Sunday afternoon due to a shooting investigation.
Columbus police said the call came in around 12:17 p.m. after two individuals shot at each other near South Hamilton Road. Police said the exchange continued along the freeway.
Two people were taken to Grant Hospital, but their conditions were unknown, according to police.
No arrests have been made.
The department said plans were in place to repair the location and construction is set to start midsummer.
Ohio is one of the few states that doesn't require riders to wear a helmet.
The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority said thousands of people are expected to head downtown Monday.
ODOT started the project in Feb. 2019 in the cities of Parma and Cleveland.
