CLEVELAND — The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority said thousands of people are expected to head downtown Monday for the St. Patrick's Day parade, and it's preparing its rail lines for the influx.

On Monday, riders can pay $5 to ride to and from the parade downtown. To adjust to the capacity of people, the Greater Cleveland RTA said it has to make some adjustments.

For the Tower City Westbound Service Track, Red, Blue and Green Line riders heading westbound will use Track 7 platform at Tower City Station.

To make the ride as smooth and easy as possible, the Greater Cleveland RTA recommends these tips:

  • Have your credit or debit card ready for the payment reader to purchase your $5 All-Day pass. Make sure to keep this pass safe, as it will be needed for your trip back
  • The $5 All-Day passes are available at the following rail stations: BrookparkPuritas, TriskettWest Blvd-Cudell, and Tower City (Red, Blue and Green Lines)
  • Plan ahead and leave early
  • Ride the Rapid, as trains will leave as scheduled throughout the day
  • Ride the HealthLine at the Stokes Windermere Station and ride from East Cleveland to Downtown Public Square
