CLEVELAND — The City of Cleveland has issued information on road closures and parking restrictions ahead of a busy and likely traffic-filled weekend of events that include a Billy Joel and Rod Stewart concert, Nicki Minaj concert and a Guardians game.

Here are the restrictions to parking, according to the city:

From 6 a.m. Friday through 1 a.m. Saturday

  • Erieside Avenue – From East 9th Street around the north side of the stadium to West 3rd Street

From 3 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday

  • Lakeside Avenue – From East 9th Street to West 9th Street
  • St. Clair Avenue – From East 9th Street to West 9th Street
  • East 9th Street – From Lakeside Avenue to Carnegie Avenue
  • West 9th Street – From Front Avenue to West Superior Avenue

From 4 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday

  • Prospect Avenue – From East 9th Street to Ontario Street
  • Huron Road – From Ontario Street to Prospect Avenue

Here is the information related to road and exit ramp closures, according to the city:

From 6 a.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday

  • Al Lerner Way
  • Portions of Erieside Avenue

From 5 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday

  • West 3rd Street exit ramp from Route 2 westbound
  • East 9th Street exit ramp from Route 2 westbound and eastbound
  • Access to Route 2 from West 3rd Street will be open until 5 p.m.
  • Access to Route 2 westbound from East 9th Street will be open until 5 p.m.
  • Access to Route 2 eastbound from East 9th Street will be open from Lakeside Avenue only, but this is subject to change

The city also notes that during the events people can still access The Pit Lot and Hunting Park Garage on West 3rd Street, but this is subject to change. The Muni Lot will be open from Route 2 or South Marginal Road east of the lot.

“Information is subject to change based on real-time information as vehicular and pedestrian traffic evolves,” the city release states. “All closure times depend on traffic volume and can be adjusted as needed by the Cleveland Division of Police Bureau of Traffic.  All decisions are made with public safety at top of mind. As always, exercise caution and if you see something, please say something.”

City officials encourage attendees to consider using public transit.
