MADISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The United States Geological Service (USGS) recorded a 2.0-magnitude earthquake early Tuesday afternoon, making this the third earthquake to hit Madison Township this month.

According to USGS, Tuesday’s earthquake measured a depth of about 3.1 miles and it was reported as “light” impact, which means no damages.

The most recent earthquake to hit the area was on Jan. 5 and was recorded at 2.6-magnitude. 

According to USGS, three earthquakes hit the Lake County area last year, two in August and one in December.
