CLEVELAND — A 3.6-magnitude earthquake hit Madison Township in Lake County late Sunday night, the U.S. Geological Survey confirmed. It's the second earthquake the area has experienced within a week.
The earthquake happened at approximately 10:43 p.m., according to the USGS. It was initially rated with a 4.0 magnitude. It had a depth of around 5 kilometers, which is categorized as "light" by the USGS.
USGS's "Shakemap" shows parts of eastern Cuyahoga County and western parts of Pennsylvania could feel the quake.
The first earthquake happened early Thursday morning and had a magnitude of 2.3, according to the USGS.
It was just over 4 miles deep and occurred near the Lake County and Ashtabula County line.
