WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross Men's hockey team is feeling the buzz and excitement on campus and all over Worcester for their Atlantic Hockey Association Championship game Saturday night at the Hart Center at 7pm. The tickets for the game sold out in 2 minutes, just crazy, the winner of this game gets an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, and the boys are feeding off the energy from their classmates. "Around campus there's a lot of excitement," said Defenseman Mack Oliphant, "the students, to have that going on as well as hearing different things as your walking around it brings overall excitement for the players and for everybody around campus, there's a lot of buzz."
"Yeah the excitement around campus is flowing through us a little bit," said Forward Jack Seymour, "getting us more excited to play this game and it's cool to see how the students have got involved, even the people of Worcester have got involved and started to follow us. It definitely helps us to get excited and ready to play the game."
"It's a great problem to have in terms of too many people coming to the game," said Captain Matt Shatsky, "and people getting excited about it that's something we're super grateful for."
