WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross Men's hockey team has had tremendous success under Head Coach Bill Riga who is in his 4th year at the head man of the program. The Crusaders are in the Atlantic Hockey Championship game for the second time in the last three years. They won the regular season championship as well for the first time since 2006, they are currently ranked 19th in the country, this year marked the first time the program was nationally ranked since 2012. Holy Cross is hosting Bentley Saturday night at 7pm at the Hart Center in a the Atlantic Hockey Championship game, with the winner getting an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. All this success is incredible, but Head Coach Bill Riga and the players don't have much time to reflect on it. "Yeah it's a team effort it's our whole staff, it's the administration, and obviously the players," said Riga, "I feel like they've played better than we've coached this year, and I think that's just how it is, if the players don't play it doesn't matter how you coach. I've taken some moments, my wife keeps mentioning things to me, I've tried to stay focused but people keep bringing things up, and ask questions an in those moments it's obvious that we've come a long way. But at the same time it won't feel as good if we don't take the next step, and that's what we're focused on now."
