WORCESTER, Mass. - The Worcester Railers are hosting Military Appreciation Night this Saturday at the DCU Center, the game starts at 6:05.  All active military and veterans get in for free, Worcester will be wearing  special jersey's, that they will auction off to raise money for Central Massachusetts Veterans Support Inc.  Also one veteran will have to the opportunity to shoot a puck during intermission to win a new motorcycle.  The players and coaches appreciate the military and veterans and are excited to get the chance to say thank you.  "As a guy with family in the military, the Canadien military, I really respect everything that the veterans do."  Said Foward Kolby Johnson, "and I think any chance that we have to honor them, fight for them, because they fought for our freedoms that we hold so dear, I think we can all rally around that.  I'm really excited for it coming from that sort of background."

 

"Absolutely we love our vets,"  said Forward Tanner Schachle, "they're out there doing the hard work so that we can come and play this game, it's big for everybody and we want to say thank you, we appreciate it."

 

"I think it's huge,"  said GM/Head Coach Nick Tuzzolino, "you look at where our country is as a whole, the support we show them and what they've done for us in the past so we can play a game like this is everything, we want to honor them."
