"Yeah obviously we're thrilled to be here, to be in this position," said Assumption Head Coach Scott Faucher, "you can feel the energy around campus right now, the school was great when we pulled in with the bus we had a little bit of a welcome party a few days ago when we got back from Buffalo after winning in order to go to the Elite 8. You can just feel the energy, our guys are excited, since I got the job six years ago here, every alum that I talked to that experienced it 50 years ago, they all have a story to tell about Evansville. Whether it's carpooling to get there, doing whatever they had to, to get to Evansville. There's tradition and people have stories to tell about Evansville, I'm excited that our guys now get to experience that."
