We remain under the influence of a warm and unstable air mass, as the sun warms everything up throughout the day, that will increase the chances of showers and thunderstorms. If you get caught under a storm, expect heavy rain and plenty of lightning. This could mean the track could once again be on the muddy side for the big race this evening. Highs today are expected to be in the upper 70s and lower 80s. 

Once the sun sets, most of the shower activity should ease up. Lows tonight under mostly cloudy skies will be in the lower to mid 60s.
