LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Fresh off a 10-4 campaign, including appearances in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship Game and Holiday Bowl, the Cardinals are already looking toward next season.

University of Louisville football released its 12-game 2024 schedule Wednesday evening, Jan. 24. Under first-year head coach Jeff Brohm, Louisville was ranked No. 19 in the final Associated Press poll and will return 13 starters from the team that lost to Florida State in the ACC Championship.

The Cardinals begin their 2024 slate Aug. 31 against Austin Peay at home, marking the program's first home opener in August since 2008, before hosting Jacksonville State Sept. 7. After their first open week of the season, they'll welcome Georgia Tech to L&N Stadium Sept. 21 to begin ACC competition. 2024 will mark the first year since 2012 the team will open the season with three straight home games.

Louisville will play its road opener at Notre Dame Sept. 28, marking the program's first trip to South Bend since 2020. They'll then play seven straight conference games, including first-year ACC teams SMU (Oct. 5, home) and Stanford (Nov. 16, away). Ending the regular season is the Governor's Cup rivalry game against Kentucky Nov. 30 in Lexington. 

The 2024 ACC Championship is set for Dec. 7 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
