The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is reminding businesses, nonprofits, homeowners and renters in Kentucky to apply for physical damage disaster loans for losses due to the severe storms on April 2. The deadline to apply is July 22.

  • Businesses, nonprofits, homeowners and renters in eligible counties can apply

The disaster declaration covers Boyd, Carter, Fayette, Greenup, Henry, Jefferson, Jessamine, Mason, Oldham, Union and Whitley Counties. Those counties are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster loans from the SBA.

Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations in adjacent counties are eligible to apply only for the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans. The following counties are eligible: Bell, Bourbon, Bracken, Bullitt, Carroll, Clark, Crittenden, Elliott, Fleming, Franklin, Garrard, Hardin, Henderson, Knox, Laurel, Lawrence, Lewis, Madison, McCreary, Mercer, Owen, Robertson, Rowan, Scott, Shelby, Trimble, Webster and Woodford.
