Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration will also be available.
The agency added FEMA financial assistance may include money for basic home repairs or additional needs such as childcare, transportation, medical needs, funeral or dental expenses.
While the severe weather that affected Kentucky over Memorial Day weekend has not received a Federal Disaster Declaration, FEMA said it's working closely with Kentucky to assess damage. The agency offered the following tips for homeowners and renters:
- File insurance claims promptly
- Document damage, such as taking photos
- Begin repairs to prevent further damage
- Keep all receipts for purchases related to the cleanup and repairs
- Report any damage and the associated costs for repairs to local officials and the emergency management agency as soon as possible
Those affected can also visit DisasterAssistance.gov, call 800-621-3362 or use the FEMA mobile app to apply, FEMA said. More on Kentucky's recovery from the April 2 storms can be found on FEMA's website.
