LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Derby Festival tradition is set to return.

  • Thunder at Lynn Family Stadium will return Saturday, April 20 

  • Admission will include Racing Louisville FC's match against the Utah Royals at 5 p.m. 

  • Parking lots will open at 7 a.m. before stadium gates open at 11 a.m. 

  • Tickets to the event start at $25 and are available now 

With Thunder Over Louisville set for Saturday, April 20, Lynn Family Stadium is once again hosting a daylong celebration for the event, including a Racing Louisville FC match against the Utah Royals at 5 p.m. before the evening's fireworks.

Parking lots to the Butchertown neighborhood venue will open at 7 a.m. before stadium gates open at 11 a.m. A screening of "Top Gun: Maverick" will take place on the stadium video board before the Thunder air show. Live music will follow the soccer game before the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. 

Tickets to the event start at $25 and are available now via RacingLouFC.com and SeatGeek. 

The venue said Thunder day guests will receive a wristband allowing for reentry during the day. Tickets will include all-day access to restrooms and several family-friendly activities. The stadium will also feature a variety of food and beverage offerings.

Seats will be reserved for the Racing Louisville game, but guests with general admission Thunder tickets may move around the stadium prior to the fireworks, the venue added.
