LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Electric vehicle users will soon have more options for charging their cars when traveling on Interstate Highway 75.
Pilot Company and General Motors announced Dec. 5 the opening of the initial phase of its coast-to-coast EV charging network. By the end of 2023, drivers will find charging stations at Pilot and Flying J locations in the following locations along the I-75 corridor:
- Georgetown, Ky.
- Williamsburg, Ky.
- Knoxville, Tenn.
- Jackson, Ga.
- Cordelle, Ga.
According to a news release, the network will offer users a convenient charging experience with on-site supervision. Drivers will find canopies at Pilot travel centers to protect against poor weather, along with free Wi-Fi, chargers in well-lit areas, clean facilities and access to Pilot's food and beverage offerings.
The five locations mark the first phase of Pilot and GM's network that will lead to 2,000 fast chargers at 500 Pilot and Flying J locations nationwide.
