LEXINGTON, Ky. — Days after the University of Kentucky and the Southeastern Conference announced its conference schedule for men’s basketball, the same is happening for women’s basketball. 


What You Need To Know

  • The University of Kentucky and the Southeastern Conference released the home and away teams

  • UK will play its permanent rival, South Carolina, for the 29th season

  • The Cats will play home games at Rupp Arena and the Beck Center at Transylvania University because of renovations at Memorial Coliseum

  • UK will also play Arkansas and Mississippi State twice

The Wildcats will meet up against SEC foes 16 times during the regular season. Eight of those games are at home and eight will be on the road.

Fans will get to visit two different facilities to watch the women play at home because Memorial Coliseum is getting renovated. The women will rotate between Rupp Arena and the Clive M. Beck Center at Transylvania University. the

Lexington and the Cats will welcome Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. The team will travel to Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Tennessee in 2023-24.

* Denotes Kentucky will play at home and away with those programs. 

Since 1995-96, the South Carolina Gamecocks have been a permanent rival of Kentucky and the two teams will play twice this season. UK will also play Arkansas and Mississippi State twice.

Familiar faces dot the Wildcat roster, including former starters Nyah Leveretter and Maddie Scherr. They will be joined by newcomers, including Tennessee transfer 2021 Miss Kentucky Basketball Brooklynn Miles and freshmen Jordy Griggs and Janae Walker. 

Kentucky will compete for the first time since 2018 in the U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam Women’s Basketball Tournament on Nov. 23-25. The other teams in the tournament are NC State, Colorado and Cincinnati.

The school will announce the rest of the 2023-24 women’s basketball schedule later this year.
