Slated for Dec. 9, the University of Louisville's men's basketball team's trip to Wisconsin for the ACC-Big Ten Challenge has been postponed.
“Our men’s basketball program is still paused indefinitely and we will look for an alternate opportunity to play Wisconsin if possible,” said UofL Vice-President/Director of Athletics Vince Tyra. “We will continue to communicate regularly with Wisconsin, the ACC and Big Ten.”
Last week, UofL paused all team-related activities due to a positive COVID-19 test, canceling a scheduled game against UNC Greensboro scheduled for Dec. 4. According to a press release from UofL Athletics, the team is adhering to ACC and university protocols.
So far, Louisville has won its first four games of the season, all of which were played in the KFC Yum! Center within seven days.
The Badgers will still play this Wednesday, however, hosting Rhode Island for a home contest at the Kohl Center. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 3:30 p.m. (CST) on the Big Ten Network.
