Tuesday will start off a little wet with some light showers, mainly along the Ohio River, so before you head out the door, grab the umbrellas along with the jackets. It will be another gray and chilly afternoon with highs in the 50s. The exception will be southern Kentucky with highs there in the 60s. The afternoon commute home will be the drier ride.

1. Spectrum News/IPSOS Poll: Kentucky Voter Confidence

The window to cast absentee mail-in ballots has already opened and closed and with early in-person voting now underway in Kentucky, voter turnout looks to be the highest in decades across the Commonwealth. But how likely are Ketuckians to vote in this year’s presidential election? What is their preferred voting method? How much confidence do they have their vote will be counted this year? 2. New Recommendations as COVID-19 Cases Soar in Kentucky

Gov. Andy Beshear announced new recommendations based on the White House metrics of "Red Zones." Counties who are in the red are asked to follow recommendations such as allowing employees to work from home, asking people to avoid in-person shopping, reschedule or postpone large events, and enforce mask mandates. Voting in Kentucky is easier than ever in 2020, thanks to an expanded array of options implemented after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, voters can vote by mail, vote early, and, if they’re traditionalists, vote in person on Election Day. But there’s one thing they can’t do: Vote later than 6 p.m.

The sisterhood of the traveling scarves is a Louisville organization's way of helping cancer patients around the state. The UK Markey Cancer Center recently partnered up with Hope Scarves to share a little hope and happiness to those undergoing treatment. Hope Scarves collects scarves from all over the country, they are then professionally dry cleaned and sent to people who have recently been diagnosed with cancer.
