As the 2020 General Election draws nearer, Spectrum News partnered with market research firm IPSOS to conduct an in-depth poll that reveals what problems are most important to Kentuckians. The exclusive Spectrum News/IPSOS Poll released Wednesday shows the No. 1 item most Kentuckians care about is COVID-19.

2. Judge Allows Anonymous Grand Juror From Breonna Taylor Case to Speak Publicly

A judge has ruled that the anonymous grand juror from the Breonna Taylor case may speak publicly about the grand jury proceedings. The grand juror released a statement saying the grand jury never heard about anything other than the wanton endangerment charges against Detective Brett Hankison. Attorney General Daniel Cameron said he disagrees with the judge's decision, but will not appeal. 

3. Board of Elections Head Predicts Absentee Ballots Won't Slow Results

Jared Dearing, executive director of the Kentucky Board of Elections, told Spectrum News 1 that nearly all absentee ballots could realistically be counted by election night. Dearing said if his prediction is correct, news outlets and respective parties could call all races on election night.

Midway, located in Woodford County, hosted the movie's cast and crew while they were filming. Directed by Jeff Day, the film focuses on a rekindled high school romance as a big city TV host returns to her hometown.
