VIGIL FOR TORNADO VICTIMS

A candlelight vigil in honor of victims of the tornado that struck Warren County is scheduled for 5 p.m. CST Monday at the Bowling Green ballpark. 

The police department says all are welcome and attendees are asked to bring their own candle. 

SHOP WITH A COP

Also Monday, members of Louisville Metro Police Department’s sixth division will hold their annual “Shop with a Cop,” along with staff members from a local elementary school. 

Organizers say they will be shopping for a number of children from the school and will wrap gifts there.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS TUESDAY

Tuesday in Graves County, several agencies will work to bring gifts and supplies to those impacted by the tornado. 

It’s called “Operation Christmas Tuesday.” 

Officials say staff from the state, county and city of Mayfield will team up with community members and volunteers to provide a four-day supply of food and water and gifts cards, supplies and toys for children. 

Mayfield’s mayor says they are seeking donations of cash and gift cards. 

LIGHTS ON THE POND 

This is the last week for “Lights on the Pond” in Letcher County. 

The drive-thru lights display is around Fishpond Lake. 

The event is free and runs each night until 11 p.m.

LIGHTS UNDER LOUISVILLE 

Saturday is Christmas Day and Lights Under Louisville will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

The 30-minute underground light show goes through the MEGA Cavern. 

It costs $32.99 for a standard car, SUV, truck or minivan.
