VENTURA, Calif. – Ventura has been hit with eight earthquakes in the past two days.
The third earthquake was reported at 4 a.m. on Friday by the United States Geological Survey with a magnitude of 3.5 and a depth of 16 km. A total of 289 people felt the earthquake.
The fourth earthquake was a smaller earthquake with a 2.9 magnitude at 5:29 a.m. followed by a 3.6 magnitude earthquake in the same minute. The sixth earthquake was a 3.2 magnitude that shook at 5:37 a.m.
The seventh earthquake hit at 6:54 a.m. with a magnitude of 2.5 and a depth of 7 kilometers. The eighth earthquake was reported at 9:38 a.m. with a 2.8 magnitude.

- Friday 4:00 a.m. - 3.5 magnitude - 289 people felt it
The earthquakes on Thursday started with a 3.3 magnitude followed by a 3.4. Nearly 200 people felt the second earthquake.
The month of July was plagued by earthquakes spanning from Ridgecrest all the way to Los Angeles. Over the course of several days Ridgecrest was rocked by more than 11 earthquakes up to a 7.1 magnitude.
Earthquakes below a 5 magnitude will not leave behind any significant damage. No one was injured and no structures were damaged in Thursday's earthquake.
