VENTURA, Calif. – A 3.4 magnitude earthquake hit Ventura overnight on Thursday, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake hit around 5 a.m. with a depth of 12.9 kilometers. A total of 192 people reportedly felt the earthquake.
Just before 5 a.m. a 3.3 magnitude earthquake hit the same area, but was only felt by 17 people.
The month of July was plagued by earthquakes spanning from Ridgecrest all the way to Los Angeles. Over the course of several days Ridgecrest was rocked by more than 11 earthquakes up to a 7.1 magnitude.
Earthquakes below a 5 magnitude will not leave behind any significant damage. No one was injured and no structures were damaged in Thursday's earthquake.
