WORCESTER, Mass. - Dante Ricciardi is a scout for the Boston Red Sox, he was recently named the organizations scout of the year, Ricciardi has the entire state of Florida as his territory, so that means a lot of time in the car or at airports.  For Dante is also means great opportunity to call his dad J.P. a former General Manager of the Toronto Blue Jays, a guy who in his 45 years in professional baseball held every job you could in the game.  Dante can get advice, insight or just talk to his dad which is so nice.  "He's an awesome sounding board,"  said Dante, "I would not be here today if it wasn't for my dad and the knowledge and the intricacies about baseball that he's taught both my brother and I.  He paved the way for us and showed us you can make a living out of a kids game.  It's awesome it's a great sounding board, I use him very frequently, probably sometimes more than he wants me to use him.  The good thing about it Kev is that we can talk about scenarios, situations, he's had a 45 plus year career in professional baseball with a number of different jobs and a number of different titles, he's been there done that."
