GREEN BAY, Wis. — Dozens of Green Bay Packers players and staff are gearing up to make a difference when they take on the Miami Dolphins on Thanksgiving Day.
The NFL is encouraging players across the league to dawn custom cleats on their respective game days this week as part of the “My Cause My Cleats” initiative.
Each player or staff member participating wears custom cleats to raise awareness for a cause of their choosing, showing support for nonprofits around the U.S.
Cleats can be auctioned off on NFL Auction; the money raised is donated to the respective charities and nonprofits. Plus, fans can bid and potentially bring home custom cleats worn by their favorite players on game day.
