GREEN BAY, Wis. — Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy will be inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame next summer, the team announced on Monday.
The 54th Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will take place on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, in the Lambeau Field Atrium.
Murphy is in his 17th and final season with the Packers. He’s helped lead the team through “numerous milestones.”
During his time with the team, the Packers have made 12 playoff trips and advanced to five NFC title games, earning a victory in Super Bowl XLV.
In addition to the team, Murphy also helped develop the Lambeau Field campus and surrounding areas. He helped lead the creation of Titletown, which opened in 2017 and has now become a visitor destination. He also helped increase outside events at Lambeau Field, including concerts, soccer matches, the 2025 NFL Draft and more.
Prior to his career at the Packers, Murphy played for eight years with the Washington Redskins. He was also an assistant executive director of the NFL Players Association and a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. He spent a combined 16 years at Colgate University and Northwestern University as the director of athletics.
Murphy will be the 171st person inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame. He’ll formally retire in July of next year when he turns 70, which is the mandatory retirement age in the organizational bylaws for the CEO position.
Ed Policy, the Packers’ current chief operating officer and general counsel, will take over after Murphy steps down.
