TWO RIVERS, Wis. — Jesse Vang has pleaded not guilty to charges surround Elijah Vue’s death, according to court records.
Vang is the boyfriend of Vue’s mother, Katrina Baur.
Vue, 3, was missing in February for more than six months. His remains were found Sept. 7. He would have celebrated his fourth birthday during that time frame.
Both Vang and Baur face charges related to the toddler’s death and are in custody.
Vang faces the following charges, issued by the Manitowoc County District Attorney’s office:
- Physical abuse of a child, repeated acts causing death
- Hiding a corpse
- Obstructing an officer
Vang waived the reading of the complaint and entered a not guilty plea on Monday, Nov. 18. He appeared in court via video.
His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 7.
In October, Baur pleaded not guilty to charges. Her next court date is scheduled for Dec. 20.
