GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers play in Jacksonville Sunday at Noon.
This is the Packers’ first game against the Jaguars there since a 27-23 win in 2016. The Packers lead the all-time series 5-2.
Here are three things to watch for in the game:
Hello old friend
The Jaguars are a disappointing 2-5. Their head coach is former Packers backup quarterback Doug Pederson. He's been under fire. Pederson was Philadelphia's coach when they won a Super Bowl.
Jacksonville's General Manager Trent Baalke was born in Milwaukee and grew up in Rosendale.
Former Packers
The Jaguars' roster includes former Packers in safety Darnell Savage and tight end Josiah Deguara. Savage was a first round draft pick by the Packers and played five seasons in Green Bay.
Jacksonville offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen, who played one game for the Packers, played at Bay Port High School and the University of Wisconsin.
McManus returns to Jacksonville
Packers kicker Brandon McManus, who was the hero Sunday in the win over Houston at Lambeau Field, returns to Jacksonville.
He was the Jaguars’ kicker last season. He was 30 of 37 on field goals for Jacksonville.
The Packers are looking for a sweep of the AFC South division this season. They’ve already beaten the Colts, Titans and Texans.
