MILWAUKEE — The class of 2024 at Marquette University finally knows when it will attend graduation ceremonies. 


What You Need To Know

  • Both Marquette and MATC were waiting on playoff results to finalize commencement dates. Both colleges will hold commencement ceremonies at Fiserv Forum, home of the Bucks

  • Marquette University students will celebrate commencement on Saturday, May 11. The undergraduate ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. and the graudate ceremony will be held at 5 p.m.

  • MATC students will celebrate commencement on Sunday, May 19

Marquette commencement dates were finalized Friday, after the Milwaukee Bucks lost Game 6 in the team's first round playoff series, ending their post-season run. 

Both Marquette and and Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) were waiting on playoff results to finalize commencement dates. Both colleges will hold commencement ceremonies at Fiserv Forum, home of the Bucks. 

Marquette University students will celebrate commencement on Saturday, May 11. The undergraduate ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. and the graudate ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. 

"Marquette would like to thank our graduates and their families for their patience and understanding as we awaited the Milwaukee Bucks’ playoff schedule," the university said.

MATC students will celebrate commencement on Sunday, May 19. Students graduating with associate degrees and technical diplomas will be honored alongside those completing apprenticeship and Adult High School programs. 

"Thank you for your patience as we awaited final scheduling from the Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum. We are working with these organizations now to finalize a specific time and we will share it with you as soon as this is complete," MATC said.
