TWO RIVERS, Wis. — Elijah Vue, 3, is still missing.

He was reported missing Feb. 20. Ever since, Two Rivers police have conducted continual search efforts hoping to bring him home to his family.

Police announced Monday that a vehicle of interest has been identified in the investigation: A 1997 four-door Nissan Altima. The Nissan is beige with Wisconsin registration, beginning with “A” and ending with “0.”

Two Rivers Police Department said officers have the identified vehicle of interest in possession. They said neither Vue’s mother, Katrina Baur, nor her boyfriend, Jesse Vang, are the owner of the vehicle. 

However, police ask that homeowners and businesses review camera footage from Feb. 19 between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. Police asked that people beyond Two Rivers, specifically those in the Two Rivers area and adjacent counties, review any videos they have, too.

“Our interest is not with the current owner of the vehicle, only in the camera footage captured on February 19,” police said in a Facebook update on Tuesday.

Anyone who has any information captured on video can upload it here. For those who have technical difficulties or cannot upload the video, they can call the tip line at 844-267-6648.

Anyone with any information about the case is asked to call the tipline or submit information anonymously via the Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers P3 app. 

Police said anyone who shares information that leads to locating Vue or the arrest and charging of any individuals whom are responsible for his disappearance could receive a reward of up to $10,000 from Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers. Anyone who shares information that leads to locating and returning Vue and/or the arrest and conviction of any individuals involved in his disappearance could receive a reward of up to $15,000.

Police said they expanded “rural search efforts with large scale coordinated operations” Tuesday. Law enforcement will always have IDs and badges with them. The public is asked to cooperate.

Baur is in jail on charges of child neglect and obstructing police. Vang is in jail on charges of child neglect.

Vue’s father has been jailed at Oshkosh Correctional Institute since 2023, in an unrelated matter. 

Vue is a 3-year-old boy with sandy colored hair and brown eyes. Two Rivers Police Department said he “was described as having Hmong and white ethnicity.”

He has a birthmark on his left knee. He is 3-feet-tall and weighs 45 pounds.

In the Amber Alert issued Feb. 20, police said he was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, as well as a long-sleeve, dark-colored shirt and red and green dinosaur slip-on shoes. Police said he could have had a red and white plaid blanket with him.
