MILWAUKEE— Marquette star guard Tyler Kolek has been named Big East Player of the Week after his performance vs St. John's. This is the second time Kolek has earned this honor this season.

During Marquette's 86-75 win over St. John's, Kolek notched his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 27 points while grabbing 13 rebounds and dishing out seven assists. Kolek became just the third player in Division I in the last 20 years to put up that statline in a non-overtime game. 

With the seven assists, Kolek is now third-all time at Marquette with 630 assists. Kolek tied his career-high in threes-made with five in the win.

22 of Kolek's 27 points came in the second half, helping the Golden Eagles overcome a nine-point halftime deficit. Kolek ended the night shooting 11-17 from the field.

Marquette is back in action on the road on Tuesday, Feb. 13 against Butler. The game is set to tip-off at 5:30 CST on FS1.
