MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Bucks have acquired Patrick Beverley from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Cam Payne and a 2027 second-round pick.

Beverley broke the news via his podcast’s X account on Thursday.

Beverley, who is known for his defense, has been named the the NBA's all-defensive team three times in his career. With the trade, Beverley reunites with Bucks head coach Doc Rivers, who he played under for several seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. 

Beverley is in his 12th season in the NBA and holds a career average of 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals. This season with the 76ers, Beverley averaged 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. 

The Milwaukee Bucks also traded away center Robin Lopez and cash considerations to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for the draft rights to Dimitrios Agravanis.

Lopez appeared in 16 games with the Bucks this season and averaged 4.1 minutes per game.

Agravanis, a 29-year-old forward from Greece, has spent the last 13 seasons playing in the Greek Basket League.
