Cheeseheads across the state chanted “Go Pack Go” after the Packers beat the Cowboys in a stunner. Fans are on cloud nine — well, maybe cloud number 10 after the Packers’ quarterback led the green and gold to a victory.

“I love Jordan Love. Jordan Love is going to be our third Hall of Fame quarterback here. I love Jordan Love. He’s great,” Rob Coleman shouted.

“Oh, it feels great. I’ve had nothing but respect for Love and I’ve had nothing respect for the Packers head coach and the team itself. They really proved themselves. We’re gonna go through some trials and errors and they came out of it. I’m just so ecstatic about it,” Tom Heilman said.

Coleman has been a tour guide at Lambeau Field for the past two years. He said it’s a great time to be a Packers fan.

“I feel we have a great future. I think Brian Gutekunst did a great job with our draft here and Lafleur is doing a great job. I think we have a bright future,” Coleman said.

Heading into this wild-card game, the Packers and the Cowboys had met eight previous times in the NFL playoffs, with the record tied and both teams winning four games a piece.

Coleman said there was something extra special on the line for this matchup, as the Packers’ former head coach Mike McCarthy is now the Dallas Cowboys head coach.

“I love Mike McCarthy. When he was here, he gave us a Super Bowl. I wish him the best, but not when we played the Packers. I love it,” Coleman said.

Other fans like Jason Kuipers bid McCarthy a belated fond farewell.

“I’m thankful for the years that he had here in Green Bay, but I’m certainly happy that we moved on. We now have a better coaching staff and definitely improved,” Jason Kuipers said.

This season has been filled with highs and lows after the Packers’ big victory over the Cowboys. Kuipers said it’s a great time to be a Packers fan.

“Expectations this year we’re not as high so I mean to be where we’re at right now this year, anybody could be super thrilled, especially the way the game is going Sunday,” Kuipers said.

It’ll be another football-filled weekend for fans next week as the Packers head into round two of the playoffs.
