GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Packers will face the Dallas Cowboys in Texas Sunday at 3:30 p.m. CT in the NFC Wild Card Round of the playoffs.

This will be the ninth postseason meeting between these teams, with each team winning four.

Here are three things to watch:

Familiar faces

Cowboys Head Coach Mike McCarthy, who guided the Packers for almost 13 seasons, is the most obvious Dallas tie to the state. But he's not the only one.

Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson is the grandson of legendary Badgers coach Barry Alvarez. Ferguson played at Wisconsin and Madison Memorial. Dallas center Tyler Biadasz is from Amherst, Wisconsin and UW as well.

As you would expect, the Cowboys’ coaching staff has plenty of Packers flavor including Al Harris, Scott Tolzien and Joe Whitt, Jr.

Native son shines against Cowboys

Packers running back and El Paso, Texas native, Aaron Jones, has a great track record against the Cowboys. In three meetings, he’s rushed for 370 yards and six touchdowns.

Jones has also caught 10 passes for 102 yards in those games. Jones, who went to college at Texas-El Paso, is the only player in the NFL with three 100-yard rushing games against the Cowboys since 2017.

Dueling quarterbacks

This playoff game features the two quarterbacks who threw the most touchdown passes in the NFL this season. Dallas’ Dak Prescott with 36 and Jordan Love of the Packers with 32. This will be the first playoff game as a starter for Love, who has thrown 18 touchdown passes with just one interception since Week 11.

The Packers not only won a Super Bowl in the Cowboys’ stadium, they’ve never lost there.

They are 5-0 at AT&T Stadium, including four victories over the Cowboys.
